Summer Activities

We’re making our way through our Summer Bucket List, and this week we checked off Patriots Training Camp and The Hall at Patriot Place.  There is so much to do at Patriot Place, but in late July and early August, the Patriots kick it up a notch with public training camp dates that make for a great family fun day!

Free Fun Fridays

Every summer, the Highland Street Foundation sponsors Free Fun Fridays, a series of Fridays in the summer where local families can get FREE access to local museums and attractions across Massachusetts.  Each Friday presents a different set of venues, and no tickets or vouchers are needed.  Just show up and get in free!

cape069 Last week, during our family vacation down the Cape, we visited the Cape Cod Inflatable Park.  Besides the beach, it was one of the highlight of our vacation, according to the kids.  They spent almost 5 hours sliding, jumping, climbing, and most of all laughing.  It’s a must see if you’re near Yarmouth!  {keep reading…}

One of the items on our Summer Bucket List that I had been really looking forward to was a trip out to Georges Island.  I hadn’t been there since my 4th grade field trip, and couldn’t wait to show this local gem to my own children.  The ferry ride through the harbor, exploring the halls of Fort Warren, what a great summer adventure!

Boats to all of the harbor islands leave from a few a few different locations, (Quincy, Boston, Hingham), as well as running between islands.  Find the complete ferry schedule here{keep reading…}
