The fabulous and unique Roger Williams Park Zoo’s Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular opens today, October 6th!  Their wetlands trail will be lit by the glow of 5,000 jack-o-lanterns both on the ground and in the branches.  See everything from tiny sugar pumpkins to gigantic jack-o-lanterns weighing up to 1,600 pounds!

The theme of this year’s show is “A Journey Around the World” and will include scenes from the Seven Wonders of the World.  The “Laughing Tree” will be back this year as well, in all its spooky splendor.  The event runs from October 6 -31, from 6pm to 10pm nightly (trail closes by 11pm).

On Monday through Thursday nights, admission is $12 adults/$10 seniors, and $9 for children ages 3-12.  On Friday through Sunday nights, admission is 14 adults/$12 seniors, and $11 for children ages 3-12.  Find more information on the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular at the Roger Williams Park Zoo website and Facebook page, and take a look at this video clip.
