10 Homemade Mother’s Day Gift Ideas

May 5, 2011 · 1 comment

Mother’s Day is just around the corner!  We’ve got a lot of mothers in our lives - friends, parents, grandparents, daughters, aunts, cousins.  Sometimes it’s hard to find just the right gift to say, “I love you”, and “I appreciate you”.  In our house we’ve given pajamas, slippers, plants, gardening supplies, calendars, mugs… you name it, we’ve given it!  This year we’re handing out homemade gifts to express our thankfulness for all these moms that make our lives more special.  I had a bit of a hard time deciding what to make, since the craft would involve three children with three very different levels of artistic ability.  Here are our top ten choices for gifts this year (I can’t share what we picked to make, I don’t want to give away this year’s presents!):

  1. Sewing Kit in a Jar from Funkytime (via Skip to My Lou)
  2. Glass Magnet Sets from Sabby in Suburbia image
  3. Family Marble Magnets from Kaboose.com
  4. Mother’s Day Cup Craft from Alphamom MothersDay-titleshot
  5. Sunflower Pincushion from Highlights Kids
  6. Hand Print Flower Clip from Skip to My Lou flowermagnet
  7. Fingerprint Flower Vase from Kaboose.com
  8. Keychain for Mom from Kaboose.com
  9. Mother’s Day Newspaper from Martha Stewart
  10. Dreamy Sleep Mask from Martha Stewart

Happy Mother’s Day!

Great ideas! I especially like the hand print flower! Last year my kids gave me colored mother’s day pictures from http://www.thecolor.com/Category/Coloring/Mothers%20Day.aspx?holiday which were really cute!
