ABOUT SOUTH SHORE MAMAS

South Shore Mamas was founded in 2009 by Kara G, South Shore resident and busy mom to three young children.   Our goal at SSM is to help moms and dads living in southeastern Massachusetts find ways to keep the family entertained.  We post about local events and activities, craft ideas, shopping, recipes, you name it!

Important to note:

At South Shore Mamas we do not get paid to feature products, events or activities.  If we post about something, it’s because we either found it ourselves and had to share, or had it passed on to us and liked it enough to pass on to you.

This is a great web site. I’m going to share it with my family that are still mostly living in the south shore area.

Nice work!

You did such a great job Kara! You should be so proud of yourself. Your blog is full of great information and so easy to maneuver. Thanks!

Hi, this is a wonderful resource, but I noticed that you have Boomerangs and Skalliwags listed as places to play on your site. I just wanted to let you know that Boomerangs in Carver was closed by the state police in August. Also Skalliwags in Pembroke closed abruptly leaving a friend of mine without a place for their party. They were not even notified and we all showed for the party to find absolutely nothing but a sign saying that the assets had been seized. She called Imagination Island in Plymouth and they were so wonderful. They let our party come down immediately and gave us a beautiful party room. They even gave us a cake with really short notice. It is so clean and perfect for the 7 and unders. I just want other Moms and Dads to know.

Jenna,
Thank you so much for the update on Boomerangs and Skalliwags. I’m sorry your friend experienced such poor customer service. Kudos to Imagination Island for rising to the occasion. We will remove the links for these two locations on the main page and look into whether or not Boomerangs will be reopening in the future.
